BIO
Nathanael LeVan is an Asian-American filmmaker who likes to tell character driven stories about unlikely heroes -- often in the world of music. Growing up, he felt like an outsider who was never naturally afforded the limelight -- and thus, turned to both playing and listening to music as a way to express himself. After learning to embrace this identity, Nathanael now aims to provide underdog musicians/artists the chance to overcome their own obstacles on screen.
Nathanael currently resides in Los Angeles -- but originally hails as a product of the Chicago suburbs (and is a Northwestern University alum).
Some filmmakers that have influenced him include William Wyler, Howard Hawks, Akira Kurosawa, Charlie Chaplin, Brian De Palma and Billy Wilder.

Nathanael's most recent short film, DA CAPO, is currently being submitted to film festivals.
